| President Bush v. Kerry Debate (#1) |
| 1.10.04 |
I found it funny that Kerry mentioned foreign powers we should be working with, and specifically said, "the United States, France and Germany..." Methinks he wants the USA to join the European Union. He definately wants the USA to be submissive to the united nations.
John Kerry (according to my 3 year old: the "Poopy-Doo guy"- we do reprimand her for the language, but it is funny!) was condescending and annoying to me, but I am a Bush supporter. I think George Bush could have been more forceful, but I think he held his own for sure. I heard that Kerry was on the debate team in college- probably did that longer than he was in Vietnam- so I was concerned with President Bush having to face Kerry in a debate. So I give this debate to President George W. Bush. I think he held even and had more substance than Kerry- as usual.
I would like to see Kerry's plans. What I saw on johnkerry.com was shallow drivel. It was spin and propaganda.
Fox News has an article showing both candidates stretches. For me it was too "fair and balanced," I wanted to see only Kerry's stretches. But it was good to compare the two. I give President Bush the edge there too.
One thing that bothers me: Kerry continues to call the war in Iraq a "unilateral policy." But there are about 30 nations working together in Iraq- meaning troops deployed. That means Kerry continuously insults our allies and minimizes their sacrifices. Good foreign policy in the making there. Can't we make Kerry the ambassador to Antartica? He can stay in the Igloo Embassy. |
