| More Thoughts on the Chile Security Scuffle |

This is an update to my previous post.
I was thinking about how easily that incident (President Bush's security agents being cut off from him as he entered a dinner for heads of state) might have resembled an assassination attempt. Think about it, the President enters a building and his security is left behind. He is then undefended in case of an attempt on his life. The security agents should be given full authority to draw weapons and use them if this type of thing happens again. Protecting the president is priority one, we can resolve international incidents later, if necessary. |
