Diane (Orchard) Hubbard 5.1.1975-11.29.2004
29.11.04

Dear Friends,

I know many of you knew Diane Hubbard (Diane Orchard before she married Rob Hubbard). Some of you did not, but prayed for her all the same. Today, as we traveled to visit her and her family, she lost her battle to cancer while winning her war against spiritual death. This moment is very difficult for me. In 1993 Diane and I decided to go to college at Southeastern College in Lakeland, FL. During our first semester there God led us to commit to each other as brother and sister. I made a pledge to her that I would never leave her. You see, she never knew her father and the rest of her family did not care for her or take any kind of interest in her.

She has been a sister to me, and I a brother to her. Her husband Rob and I are close friends. God gave Diane a good life once she met Rob. She had a husband and with that a family. That made up for the one she missed out on earlier in her life. She was blessed to have been a part of a Christian family in foster care. That is where I met her. She graduated from Southeastern College with a Bachelor’s Degree and worked for the Department of Children and Families in Lakeland and Brooksville. She was a devoted wife and mother. She has a wonderful son, Gabriel, who is four and a beautiful daughter, Charisma, who is one and a half.

Diane walked her faith. She was urged by several doctors to have an abortion and undergo chemotherapy when they found out she had breast cancer. However, her love for her unborn baby would not allow her to make such a sacrifice. She underwent chemotherapy while pregnant, but she also chose to allow Charisma to live. Afterward, she was found to have cancer in several areas of her body and finally, in her brain. She was able to fight until Thanksgiving, but she finally chose to be with her Savior, Jesus. We miss her, we grieve. It is mainly because she is not with us here on earth. However, she is finally free of the pain and heartbreak this world offered. She had the family she wanted. She had the children she wanted. She had a brother who will never forget her or stop missing her until we are reunited in heaven.

Now Diane is living the words to the song “I Can Only Imagine”: “Surrounded by Your Glory, what will my heart feel? Will I dance for you, Jesus? Or in awe of You, be still? Will I stand in Your presence, or to my knees will I fall? Will I sing 'Hallelujah!'? Will I be able to speak at all? I can only imagine! I can only imagine!” I only wish I was able to see her now.

May the God of Peace bring healing to the hearts of those close to Diane. May her testimony live on as she lives on with our Savior, Jesus, in His presence. Thank You Jesus for allowing me to be a part of her life. I pray that I was at least half the blessing she was to me.

In the Memory of my Sister and Friend,

Pete Garbacki

Was President Bush At Risk In Chile?
In a previous post on November 20th I stated a concern at President Bush's safety during the attempt to keep his security out in Chile.

Now there are reports that his life may have been in danger. WorldNetDaily quotes a report by Dr. Jack Wheeler that there may have been an attempt on the President's life if his security agent was left out.

Also, there are reports from ABCNews that the President was in danger from the drug lords in Colombia during his visit there.

These reports come from sources with more connections and access than I have. Is it that blatant that certain forces in Central America are out to kill our President? (are they DemocRATS?- Just kidding- I hope) If, there is an attempt- successful or not- there should be a great reprisal. Furthermore, President Bush's security should be increased from it's already massive level.

May our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ- the One True God- bless and protect President George W. Bush.

Added Comment: I will not use this weblog to argue with atheists or anti-American Bush-hating liberals.

The Rainbow...
27.11.04

The Rainbow: it's about a covenant, not a lifestyle!

See below:

Genesis 9:8-17 (New American Standard Bible)

Then God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying, "Now behold,
I Myself do establish My covenant with you, and with your descendants after you; and with every living creature that is with you, the birds, the cattle, and every beast of the earth with you; of all that comes out of the ark, even every beast of the earth.
"I establish My covenant with you; and all flesh shall never again be cut off by the water of the flood,
neither shall there again be a flood to destroy the earth."

God said, "This is the sign of the covenant which I am making between Me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all successive generations;
I set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth. "It shall come about, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow will be seen in the cloud, and I will remember My covenant, which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and never again shall the water become a flood to destroy all flesh. "When the bow is in the cloud, then I will look upon it, to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth."

And God said to Noah, "This is the sign of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that is on the earth."

Merry CHRISTmas!
26.11.04
It's the day after Thanksgiving and I have determined to begin wishing poeple a Merry CHRISTmas. Not happy holidays or season's greetings. If I run into someone who is Jewish I will wish them a Happy Hannukah, but forget ramadan and kwanzaa, forget winter solstice and winter holiday or any of the other politically correct greetings.

I remember a time when people (in New York no less- where I was living at the time) would greet each other with Merry Christmas and would be more friendly. Where have those days gone? Hopefully I can restore that by one. I'll call it "A CHRISTmas of one." Maybe others can join me. Can we restore a real CHRISTmas spirit? Where people resemble Christ more than Scrooge before he was "saved."

A Thanksgiving Proclamation

From the President:

Thanksgiving Day, 2004
By the President of the United States of America
A Proclamation

Fact sheetIn Focus: Thanksgiving 2004

All across America, we gather this week with the people we love to give thanks to God for the blessings in our lives. We are grateful for our freedom, grateful for our families and friends, and grateful for the many gifts of America. On Thanksgiving Day, we acknowledge that all of these things, and life itself, come from the Almighty God.

Almost four centuries ago, the Pilgrims celebrated a harvest feast to thank God after suffering through a brutal winter. President George Washington proclaimed the first National Day of Thanksgiving in 1789, and President Lincoln revived the tradition during the Civil War, asking Americans to give thanks with "one heart and one voice." Since then, in times of war and in times of peace, Americans have gathered with family and friends and given thanks to God for our blessings.

Thanksgiving is also a time to share our blessings with those who are less fortunate. Americans this week will gather food and clothing for neighbors in need. Many young people will give part of their holiday to volunteer at homeless shelters and food pantries. On Thanksgiving, we remember that the true strength of America lies in the hearts and souls of the American people. By seeking out those who are hurting and by lending a hand, Americans touch the lives of their fellow citizens and help make our Nation and the world a better place.

This Thanksgiving, we express our gratitude to our dedicated firefighters and police officers who help keep our homeland safe. We are grateful to the homeland security and intelligence personnel who spend long hours on faithful watch. And we give thanks for the Americans in our Armed Forces who are serving around the world to secure our country and advance the cause of freedom. These brave men and women make our entire Nation proud, and we thank them and their families for their sacrifice.

On this Thanksgiving Day, we thank God for His blessings and ask Him to continue to guide and watch over our Nation.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim Thursday, November 25, 2004, as a National Day of Thanksgiving. I encourage all Americans to gather together in their homes and places of worship to reinforce the ties of family and community and to express gratitude for the many blessings we enjoy.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this twenty-third day of November, in the year of our Lord two thousand four, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and twenty-ninth.

GEORGE W. BUSH

It is nice to see the President make a proclamation including God as did our first President George Washington. Sorry ALCU and whiney ahtiests around the USA. (I'm not really sorry, by the way)

The Christian Conservative Puts It Well
25.11.04

Mike Gallaugher puts his views in words of wisdom:

I am a Republican so long as the GOP conforms to conservative principals. I am a Conservative only to the degree that conservativism conforms to Biblical principals. The most important goal in my life's work is to cultivate Godly character in myself and those around me, in order that I might be a light in a dark place.

This is close to my position, but put way better than I have ever put it. Only difference is that I am not a Republican. I was leaning toward the Constitution Party, but their recent presidential candidate only bashed President Bush, which changed my mind about the party despite agreeing with their platforms. I am considering being a Red-State-Republican. A Reagan Republican. No Alan Specters, no Arlold Schwarzeneggers, etc. I am praying about where to stand. However, like Mike, I place allegiance to "my Lord and my God" Jesus Christ.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

About the beginning of the Thanksgiving as celebrated in the United States (notice the ACLU didn't sway George Washington from mentioning God):

John Romano Column on Sports Violence
23.11.04

I read this one ready to disagree, but found myself agreeing totally. I totally support banning alcohol at games and the use of more secutiry. Fans have some responsibility.

I just want to see the players hit hard with fines, suspensions and charges if necessary (and some charges would be appropriate for the Detriot-Indidana game). And the South Carolina-Clemson game had a disturbing picture of Yusef Kelly kicking a South Carolina player in the head. He should be charged with attempted murder.

See the picture below and judge for yourself.

Petition of Support For Brave Marine

There is now an online petition to support the marine who shot the wounded terrorist.

I would hate to be Mr. Sikes (the traitorous imbedded reporter who made the accusations) in the midst of a battle and having to rely on the troops he betrayed. The terrorists would thank him as they shot him to pieces or beheaded him.

Woe to any congress person who attempts to punish this brave warrior on the word of a cowardly trator.

More Thoughts on the Chile Security Scuffle
21.11.04
This is an update to my previous post.

I was thinking about how easily that incident (President Bush's security agents being cut off from him as he entered a dinner for heads of state) might have resembled an assassination attempt. Think about it, the President enters a building and his security is left behind. He is then undefended in case of an attempt on his life. The security agents should be given full authority to draw weapons and use them if this type of thing happens again. Protecting the president is priority one, we can resolve international incidents later, if necessary.

President Bush Settles Confrontation in Chile
20.11.04

The president had the backs of his Secret Service agents in Chile as this report details (from an AP News feed):

Bush Pulls Top Security Agent From Fracas

SANTIAGO, Chile (AP) - President Bush stepped into the middle of a confrontation and pulled his lead Secret Service agent away from Chilean security officials who barred his bodyguards from entering an elegant dinner for 21 world leaders Saturday night.

Several Chilean and American agents got into a pushing and shoving match outside the cultural center where the dinner was held. The incident happened after Bush and his wife, Laura, had just posed for pictures on a red carpet with the host of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit, Chilean President Ricardo Lagos and his wife, Luisa Duran.

As Bush stepped inside, Chilean agents closed ranks at the door, blocking the president's agents from following. Stopping for more pictures, Bush noticed the fracas and turned back. He reached through the dispute and pulled his agent from the scrum and into the building.

The president, looking irritated, straightened his shirt cuffs as he went into the dinner. The incident was shown on APEC television.

"Chilean security tried to stop the president's Secret Service from accompanying him," said White House deputy press secretary Claire Buchan. "He told them they were with him and the issue was resolved."

Way to go President Bush! W '04!!

Bad Day For Basketball

This is a real shame. The players and fans should be ashamed. I am tempted to say that this is why I watch hockey, but this is atypical, hockey does not exist professionally in the USA right now and it has happened in hockey too.

From Yahoo! News:
Pacers Brawl With Fans During Pistons Game

Fri Nov 19,11:20 PM ET

By LARRY LAGE, AP Sports Writer

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. - Indiana's Ron Artest and Stephen Jackson charged into the stands and fought with fans in the final minute of their game against the Detroit Pistons on Friday night, forcing an early end to the Pacers' 97-82 win.

The game was stopped with 45.9 seconds remaining when a pushing and shoving between the teams spilled into the stands after fans began throwing things at the players near the scorer's table.

"It's the ugliest thing I've seen as a coach or player," Pistons coach Larry Brown said.

After several minutes of players fighting with fans in the stands, the Pacers were pelted with beer, ice, and popcorn as they made their way to the locker room in one of the scariest brawls in an NBA game.

The Palace announcer said the game was being stopped and pleaded with fans not to throw things.

Update: I read the post covering this at "The Irish Trojan's Blog"- this was my comment: Seems to me Artest and O'Neal should be arrested for their part also. No doubt the fans involved should be in the pokey. Artest was at fault for causing the whole incident with the foul, but these things happen all the time without a "riot."

Self-Serving Foreigners Want To Dismantle the Constitution
19.11.04

Worth a read:
Albright Backs Foreigners for Presidency

Fri Nov 19, 3:05 PM ET

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright said Friday that foreign-born citizens should be allowed to run for president, a reform that would require amending the Constitution.

"We are a country of immigrants. I think that it would be not a bad thing to try to figure out how to allow foreign-born people to become president," Albright told the Little Rock Rotary Club while in town to attend the opening of Bill Clinton's presidential library.

Supporters of California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger have started an effort to amend the Constitution to allow immigrants to run for president. Schwarzenegger was born in Austria. Albright was born in Czechoslovakia.

Albright said foreign-born candidates would still have to meet certain requirements. "I think there has to be some very long period of time that somebody has lived in the U.S.," she said.

This is an example of self-serving politics. Should we guess whom Ms. Not Allthatbright would want to run for president? We know who Mr. Schwarzenegger wants to run for president of the United States. They care not for the Constitution, just for their political futures and power. Mr. Schwarzenegger may be a Republican, but he is a liberal. He favors abortion and special rights for homosexuals (including gay marriage). Ms. Not Allthatbright is the same as Arnie, but with a democRAT label.

This may be "a country of immigrants," but we were the same when the Consistution was drafted. The dangers in the world are much more actue now. More reason to demand a natural-born US citizen to be president. And look at what some US-born citizens are doing- Kerry slamming US troops while they are at war, Woody Harrelson downing the USA during the war on terror, Kevin Sikes anti-American/anti-troops blog, etc.

Is This Common?
17.11.04

The US Today had the following correction from FOUR years ago?!
Corrections and clarifications
On Oct. 29, 1999, USA TODAY published a story titled "Saudi money aiding bin Laden." The article erroneously stated that Mohammed Hussein Al Amoudi had been chairman of the National Commercial Bank of Saudi Arabia and had headed Capitol Trust Bank. Lawyers for Al Amoudi also believe the story may be read to suggest that Al Amoudi was among the prominent businessmen said in the article to have paid protection money to Osama bin Laden to "stave off attacks on their businesses." USA TODAY disagrees with that interpretation; in any event, no such implication was intended. Jack Kelley, a former reporter who was found recently to have fabricated several high-profile stories, wrote the Oct. 29, 1999, article.

"Dead Now"
16.11.04
The terrorist that was killed in front of a NBC camera was pretending that he was dead. He could have easily been booby-trapping himself in order to kill the American troops. Anyone who blames the soldier for this incident is an unamerican terrorist simpathizer.

AP Slams Brave Soldier

The U.S. military said Tuesday it is investigating the videotaped fatal shooting of a wounded man by a U.S. Marine in a mosque in Fallujah. Iraqis condemned the act as "cowardice" and "something forbidden in Islam."

True to form AP reports with an anti-US slant. First of all on "cowardice", if the terrorist cowards didn't booby-trap their wounded or hide in places supposedly set aside for religious worship, this incident might not have happened. Second of all on "something forbidden in Islam," I guess murdering women and beheading defenseless men and women is okay? They are nothing but captives- some injured. Hypocracy that the AP promotes. If that is Islam- it is two-faced. Judging from the Koran and Islamic history, though, it is typical of Islam.

Iraqi Interior Minister Falah Hassan al-Nagib said that while "killing a wounded person is rejected by us," the militants in Fallujah were responsible for their own brutal acts against Iraqis and foreigners, and were "killers and criminals."

Someone in Iraq was interviewed and was making sense. And if this soldier is disciplined for the death of the terrorist animal, all military men and women should pull out and refuse to fight. The US government needs to support the troops in an action that many senators and representatives would be cowardly to be in themselves (including a 4-monther from the Vietnam War who recently lost in a bid for the presidency).

Fallujah is Falling
15.11.04

From AP:
As quick as the assault was, perhaps thousands were killed and maimed, most of them Iraqi defenders. Natonski put the toll of guerrillas killed at more than 1,200.

I read reports of at least 1,600 terrorists seeking out 72 virgins (the catch is they are 72 beer-bellyed fat men with horrible b.o.) as Allah (the pig-god) is losing the war.

May the true God- the God of Paul and Silas, of Barnabas and John the Baptist, of Moses and Noah, the God of the Bible, give the victory to the Allied troops.

An 11-year-old girl in West Covina, Calif., was suspended from her school from doing "dangerous" cartwheels and hand stands during lunch time, according to a Local 6 News report.

Is this a joke, or what? I remember girls doing all sorts of gymnastics- including the infamous cartwheel- when I was in school. Of course in those barbaric days we even played dodgeball and kickball (where you hit people with the ball to get the out).

I hope to homeschool, because the insanity of teachers in public schools is more than I can stand.

    UN Mourns Terrorist

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE SPOKESMAN'S NOON BRIEFING

    BY FRED ECKHARD
    SPOKESMAN FOR THE SECRETARY-GENERAL
    OF THE UNITED NATIONS

    UN HEADQUARTERS, NEW YORK

    Thursday, November 11, 2004

[Tomorrow is an official UN holiday - Eid Al Fitr, the end of Ramadan.
The noon briefing will resume on Monday, November 15]

ANNAN DEEPLY MOVED BY DEATH OF PRESIDENT YASSER ARAFAT

  • Secretary-General Kofi Annan was deeply moved to learn of the death of President Yasser Arafat.
  • President Arafat was one of those few leaders who could be instantly recognized by people in any walk of life all around the world.
  • For nearly four decades, he expressed and symbolized in his person the national aspirations of the Palestinian people.
  • President Arafat will always be remembered for having, in 1988, led the Palestinians to accept the principle of peaceful coexistence between Israel and a future Palestinian state. By signing the Oslo accords in 1993 he took a giant step towards the realization of this vision.
  • It is tragic that he did not live to see it fulfilled. Now that he has gone, both Israelis and Palestinians, and the friends of both peoples throughout the world, must make even greater efforts to bring about the peaceful realization of the Palestinian right of self-determination.
  • The Secretary-General’s deep-felt condolences go to his wife Suha and his young daughter Zahwa and to the Palestinian people.
  • When he spoke to reporters at UN headquarters, the Secretary-General said that now that President Yasser Arafat is gone, the best legacy that his people can live by is to engage constructively and peacefully with the international community and the Israeli government and people to make his dream, a dream of two states living side by side in peace, a reality.
  • "I would urge that we all get to work and really press for the achievement of that goal," he said. He also noted the smooth transition of the Palestinian leadership.

U.N. ENVOY FOR MIDDLE EAST PEACE TO REPRESENT ANNAN AT ARAFAT FUNERAL

*The Secretary-General has asked Terje Roed-Larsen, the UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process and Personal Representative to the Palestinian Authority, to represent him at President Arafat’s funeral in Cairo.

*At UN Headquarters,. the UN flag has been lowered at half mast.

    Taking Fallujah
    11.11.04
The US and Allied forces are beginning to close in on the "insurgents" (insurgent= cowardly murderers). The US has lost about 16 men thus far. The Iraqis report 5 lost, but the enemies of peace have lost around 600 according to some reports. The number before the battle for Fallujah was estimated at 1,200 to 3,000.

Our prayers are with the Allied forces against the terrorist enemies.

The Old Man and the Marine

    (From an email foward):

One sunny day in 2005, an old man approached the White House from across Pennsylvania Avenue, where he'd been sitting on a park bench. He spoke to the Marine standing guard and said, "I would like to go in and meet with President Kerry."

The Marine replied, "Sir, Mr. Kerry is not President and doesn't reside here."

The old man said, "Okay," and walked away.

The following day, the same man approached the White House and said to the same Marine, "I would like to go in and meet with President Kerry."

The Marine again told the man, "Sir, as I said yesterday, Mr. Kerry is not President and doesn't reside here."

The man thanked him and again walked away.

The third day, the same man approached the White House and spoke to the very same Marine, saying "I would like to go in and meet with President Kerry."

The Marine, understandably agitated at this point, looked at the man and said, "Sir, this is the third day in a row you have been here asking to speak to Mr. Kerry. I've told you already that Mr. Kerry is not the President and doesn't reside here. Don't you understand?"

The old man answered, "Oh, I understand. I just love hearing it."

The Marine snapped to attention, saluted, and said, "See you tomorrow."

    Illegaly Legal
    10.11.04

The Washington Times reports that President George W. Bush again intends to push through a "bid to legalize illegal aliens." This push would give illegal immigrants a chance to become legal and to hold jobs legally.

My wife is a permanent resident from Brasil. We have paid over $1000 to go through the paperwork for her to be here the legal way. She applied for and paid for a visa and we have gone to the Tampa INS (now BCIS) office many, many times to meet the necessary requirements to be doing things legally. We waited in lines for hours (although they have improved the process by making it by appointment only) and faced some rude workers- including a guard who had a major chip on his shoulder. It was only by the grace of God that he and I didn't have words because of how he was treating people. We filled out form after form and had to put up with a misspelling by the INS. They spelled my wife's name LoiNana instead of Loiana. We had to turn in the card and never received a new one. Even though it was their mistake we had to go through many hoops and she had to rely on a stamp in her Brazilian passport to prove her legal status. The customs agents gave her a hard time when she returned from Brasil (the last time because I was not there, and I was LIVID). Fionally now she has had her conditions dropped and she is (hopefully) less than six months away from receiving her Permanent Residence card. She is eligible for citizenship before that time is complete.

My point is, that we went through all this to be doing things legally. Now there is an effort to allow criminals (broke the law- international law by entering our nation illegally) to have a free pass. At the very least they should have to face twice what we did and pay twice as much.

Possible First Attempt to Overthrow the President
    9.11.04
``I knew we'd been attacked by somebody bigger and better equipped than 19 screw-ups from Saudi Arabia,'' Jimmy Walter said Monday from Santa Barbara, Calif. ``This needed to be told, and nobody else was standing up.''

Mr. Walter points the blame at President Bush. He is probably a DemocRAT feeler to see if this will work to undo the election.

The shame of the left knows no bounds. They have consistently attempted to use the deaths of 3,000 on US soil for their political gains and attempted power grabs.

A doctor at a clinic in Fallujah, Mohammed Amer, reported 12 people were killed. Seventeen others, including a 5-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy, were wounded, he said.

Funny, the AP reporters always seem to place one of these in their stories. One of the "look at how the Americans are harming innocent Iraqis" paragraphs. They seem to think Saddam Hussein was a humanitarian and the US armed forces are barbarians. Interesting.

May the God of Israel and of Christians give the US armed forces victory- swift and decisive. May the day of terrorism become the day of judgment for the terrorists. Amen and amen.

    French Surrender Imminent

On Monday, French armored vehicles moved in around Gbagbo's home in Ivory Coast's commercial capital, Abidjan.

The French have the president's house surrounded, but deny surrounding it. Uh, yeah... and they voted for the 87 billion, but that was before they voted against it.

Well, the way I see it, the French are poised to lauch an all-out surrender any time now.

Seriously, they state that they have no intention of sacking the President of the Ivory Coast. Let's see if they stick to that. If not, I hope they get thrashed by the Ivory Coast defensive forces.

American Troops Turn to God Before Battle
    7.11.04

    From the Drudge Report:
Marines turn to God ahead of anticipated Fallujah battle
    Sat Nov 06 2004 09:37:17 ET

NEAR FALLUJAH, Iraq, Nov 6 (AFP) - With US forces massing outside Fallujah, 35 marines swayed to Christian rock music and asked Jesus Christ to protect them in what could be the biggest battle since American troops invaded Iraq last year.

Men with buzzcuts and clad in their camouflage waved their hands in the air, M-16 assault rifles laying beside them, and chanted heavy metal-flavoured lyrics in praise of Christ late Friday in a yellow-brick chapel.

They counted among thousands of troops surrounding the city of Fallujah, seeking solace as they awaited Iraqi Prime Minister Iyad Allawi's decision on whether or not to invade Fallujah.

"You are the sovereign. You're name is holy. You are the pure spotless lamb," a female voice cried out on the loudspeakers as the marines clapped their hands and closed their eyes, reflecting on what lay ahead for them.

The US military, with many soldiers coming from the conservative American south and midwest, has deep Christian roots.

In times that fighting looms, many soldiers draw on their evangelical or born-again heritage to help them face the battle.

"It's always comforting. Church attendance is always up before the big push," said First Sergeant Miles Thatford.

"Sometimes, all you've got is God."

Between the service's electric guitar religious tunes, marines stepped up on the chapel's small stage and recited a verse of scripture, meant to fortify them for war.

One spoke of their Old Testament hero, a shepherd who would become Israel's king, battling the Philistines some 3,000 years ago.

"Thus David prevailed over the Philistines," the marine said, reading from scripture, and the marines shouted back "Hoorah, King David," using their signature grunt of approval.

The marines drew parallels from the verse with their present situation, where they perceive themselves as warriors fighting barbaric men opposed to all that is good in the world.

"Victory belongs to the Lord," another young marine read.

Their chaplain, named Horne, told the worshippers they were stationed outside Fallujah to bring the Iraqis "freedom from oppression, rape, torture and murder ... We ask you God to bless us in that effort."

The marines then lined up and their chaplain blessed them with holy oil to protect them.

"God's people would be annointed with oil," the chaplain said, as he lightly dabbed oil on the marines' foreheads.

The crowd then followed him outside their small auditorium for a baptism of about a half-dozen marines who had just found Christ.

The young men lined up and at least three of them stripped down to their shorts.

The three laid down in a rubber dinghy filled with water and the chaplain's assistant, Navy corpsman Richard Vaughn, plunged their heads beneath the surface.

Smiling, Vaughn baptised them "in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit."

Dripping wet, Corporal Keith Arguelles beamed after his baptism.

"I just wanted to make sure I did this before I headed into the fight," he said on the military base not far from the city of Fallujah.

May the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of Peter and Paul, give the United States' and allied troops the victory- clear and final. Amen and amen.

    France Attacks Ivory Coast

The French, wanting to seem less cowardly since bowing to Saddam Hussein and opposing the United States, attacked the Ivory Coast in a UN Peacekeeping mission. I am waiting for the French to find a reason to surrender. However, Jackie Chirac is determined to keep the former French colony under his thumb with the backing of the UN.

We all know that this little nation presents a major threat to France and the world. It's good the French have it all under control.

An Open Letter to a Friend in Brazil
    5.11.04

    Dear (Name Hidden),
My wife told me of your email of disappointment about us being happy that George W. Bush won re-election. Yes we are. And before you consider us as wrong for this, keep in mind that he is a Christian- something the media hates him for- including much of South American (including Brasil) and European media. Forget the United States media. CNN, CBS, ABC, NBC, the New York Times, the Washington Post, the L.A. Times, etc, hate him. Dan Rather and CBS (a major US television network) tried to use false documents and false stories to undermine President George W. Bush.

If you want a more balanced look at our President, seek news from http://www.foxnews.com http://www.wnd.com http://www.washtimes.com/ and my weblog at http://4god.blogspot.com. (For a better web-browser go to http://www.mozilla.org and download the "Firefox" browser, it blocks pop-ups very well)

If you base you dislike of George W. Bush on the Iraq War, remember first that September 11th changed this country a lot. We will not stand by and allow terrorism like occurs in Israel. Unfortunately, we are a major reason Israel doesn't eliminate the so-called Palestinian problem. But we will not stand by and watch Al Qaeda terrorize us on our ground. Keeping that in mind, look at this:
  • About two thirds of al-Qaeda's leadership has now been killed or captured, its communications choked off, its fundraising disrupted, its training sites and sanctuaries eliminated.
  • Instead of aiding al-Qaeda as in the past, Saudis and Pakistanis and
Gulf Arabs have begun pitched battles against the network.
  • The Pakistani ring that was selling nuclear technology to rogue
nations like North Korea and Libya was exposed and broken up in 2004.
  • Sobered by Saddam's fate, Libya renounced terror and nuclear
proliferation, and Syria has announced it will accede to U.S. pressure
and pull troops out of Lebanon, where it has long incubated
international terrorists. Under similar U.S. pressure, the Saudis have
finally stated they are willing to allow women to vote in the future.
  • In Afghanistan and Iraq, more than 50 million people who previously lived under two of the cruelest governments on Earth are free to choose their own leaders for the first time ever.
  • And Saddam Hussein, one of the most hideous despots on the globe, will soon face courtroom justice at the hands of his own victims.

    (from http://www.worldmagblog.com/archives/010321.html)

George W. Bush is Pro-Life, meaning that he is opposed to abortion (the murder of innocent unborn children)- while John Kerry not only supported abortion, but supported partial birth abortion (which is third trimester in which the baby is partially delivered and the head remains in the mother while the "doctor" inserts an instrument into the baby's skull and tears up the brain to kill him or her). George W. Bush also opposes homosexual marriage while John Kerry supports it. George W. Bush has opened the door for churches to work with the government in order to promote better services through "religious" organizations. He frequently calls on the Lord despite media hostility to such references.

I believe your opinion, and the opinion of many Brazilians, is colored by the media's hatred of George W. Bush and Lula's opposition to George W. Bush. Sometimes I applaud Lula's stand against the USA, but I realize that stand is because of his communist/socialist worldview, not out of pure Brazilian patriotism.

Bogus Report: Troops Watched Al-Qaqaa Looting
    4.11.04
The soldiers who spoke to the Times asked to remain unidentified, saying they feared retaliation from the Pentagon.

How convenient: unidentified soldiers. Unidentified sources. Can anyone say "false report?"

Let's think about it: several hundred trucks carting off explosives in an area that had many US troops? I think not. And are we supposed to believe that our military is a larger, better-equipped version of the Keystone Cops?

I think the House or Senate should investigate and force this so-called journalist (un-named in the article) give up his sources (if, which I doubt, they even exist). His sources would be in the US military, so they are compelled to come forward.

    BUSH WINS!

George W. Bush won and the Republicans took greater control of the House and Senate. Maybe we should just kick out the blue states? Hmmm.

(Oh some slogans they could've used:

About the Kerry/Edwards campaign- "With this much crap, you need two Johns."

About Betty Castor- "I He should beat that witch with her own broom." And "Betty Castor: about as pleasant as Castor oil.")

Okay, I know they are a bit harsh, but they are kind of cool.

    Kerry Set To Concede?
    3.11.04

John Kerry's camp is speaking of conceding. If he does, it would be the first thing he's done throughout the campaign for the nation's benefit and not his own.

Additionally: the fact that DemocRATS complained that Gore won the popular vote in 2000 and lost the electoral vote. This time around they have fading hopes that Kerry can win electoral votes because the popular vote has gone to George W. Bush: 58,484,635 to 54,961,159.

An aside: Hernando County, Florida voted for George W. Bush 40,137 (53%)to 35,006 (46%). That is my home county. Way to go- too bad DemocRATS like Rowden, Kingsley and Castor won in Hernando. Not my fault.

DemocRATS Up To Their Old Tricks

In every state that President George W. Bush was winning by a close margin DemocRATS dispute the race (Iowa, Ohio and New Mexico). They know they have lost, but they are primed to attempt (again) to steal the election where the count is close. However, Bush has not disputed races as close, or closer than Ohio (New Hampshire, Minnesota, Wisconsin).

If it is close, DemocRATS intend to try to win it in the courts. They keep pointing to provisional and absentee ballots. Neither should exist, provisional are those who did not register in time or in the right way (if you're too dumb to vote, don't), and those who had registered properly, but there was a mistake by the state (they have a legitimate cause for an exception- but is a minority). And I already covered the absentee ballots previously.

May God protect this nation again from the forces that desire to undermine the Constitutional Republic and our form of government.

    Court Approves Harrassment of Voters
    2.11.04

Unfortunately the Republicans have asked for something that is out of line- even though it is for a good reason.

    The Cincinatti Enquirer reports:
Republicans favor the challengers, arguing that they would help prevent voter fraud, while Democrats claim the GOP is trying to intimidate minorities and other voters who tend to cast ballots for Democrats.

Although the lower courts declared the challengers were unconstitutional and could cause chaos at the polls, the two appeals court judges said the state law passes constitutional muster.

I disagree with the techniques the Republicans want to use, but I do have a concern with the DemocRATS trying to cheat and steal an elecetion (something they almost succeeded in doing back in 2000).

The charges of intimidation by DemocRATS are a joke, it is a defense by DemocRATS who undoubtedly will try to cheat and commit voter fraud today.

Finally, it is not unconstitutional. This does not speak to the Constitution. Just as Roe v. Wade is not a Constitutional issue- it is state-sanctioned murder.

UPDATE: If my information is correct, they do not require photo uidentification to vote in Ohio- a DemocRAT push. The Republican tactics might be to bring the identification back into play within this insanity.

Europe Telling Us How to Vote?
    1.11.04

About 60 mainly European election observers have taken up their posts in six states, including Florida and Ohio, saying they hope their presence will serve as a "preventative to the shenanigans" during voting tomorrow.

All I can say is they better not get in my way. I am an American, and they will not push me around.

Bin Laden to states: Don't vote for Bush

So Osama Bin Laden has made a threat to individual States that support President Bush (and the mainstream media has glossed it over??).

    From Worldnetdaily.com:
in one section of his speech where he harshly criticizes President Bush, bin Laden states: "Any U.S. state that does not toy with our security automatically guarantees its own security."

The Islamist website Al-Qal'a explained what this sentence meant: "This message was a warning to every U.S. state separately. When he [bin Laden] said, 'Every state will be determining its own security, and will be responsible for its choice,' it means that any U.S. state that will choose to vote for the white thug Bush as president has chosen to fight us, and we will consider it our enemy, and any state that will vote against Bush has chosen to make peace with us, and we will not characterize it as an enemy.

Well, I hope we in Florida are seen as enemies of this subhuman dirtbag and his cohorts. He follows in the spirit of Mohammed the murderous madman. Finally, he states:
Your security is not in the hands of Kerry or Bush or Al-Qa'ida. Your security is in your own hands, and any U.S. state that does not toy with our security automatically guarantees its own security.

Well, this from a murderous liar means... well, nothing.
