False Preachers
28.1.05
Soon I intend to put some extra effort into a post about abuses of Scripture by prominent preachers. These include false teachings, heresies of many types and false prophecies.

Also, I will see about adding a comment section if I can find a way to ban abusers and those who are argumentative.

WorldNetDaily: Politicians
22.1.05
Another shot being taken at Religious Freedom (First Amendment)- WorldNetDaily: Churches barred from 'gay' discrimination. At this rate it will be illegal to own a Bible in ten years. Since the Bible prohibits homosexuality (see Leviticus, I Corinthians, etc.).

Well, we will stand for the Word of God no matter what the law of the USA says. God's law prevails. ("As for me and my house we will serve the Lord." -Joshua 24.15)

WorldNetDaily: 'Philly 5' win 1 in court
Finally a win for the Christians in Philadelphia! The five Christians who were arrested after harassment by the "Pink Angels" and the Philly cops WorldNetDaily: 'Philly 5' win 1 in court have won a case in front of a judge who isn't a homosexual activist, I guess. Judge Pamela Dembe viewed the video and decided that to restrict the Christians from being within 100 feet from any homosexual gathering was an infringement on First Amendment rights.

Praise God! And thank you to Michael Gallaugher (the Christian Conservative) for the heads up on this story.

I As I told Michael when he emailed me about this- "My concern is that even when- and I believe it will- this case is dropped against all five, these things will continue to take place until the tide of evil turns and Christians begin to be imprisoned for our faith. The evil of the secularist religion is overtaking our land." My hope is that I am wrong.

OpinionJournal - Peggy Noonan's Bad Feeling
21.1.05
From the OpinionJournal .com: "The inaugural address itself was startling. It left me with a bad feeling, and reluctant dislike. Rhetorically, it veered from high-class boilerplate to strong and simple sentences, but it was not pedestrian. George W. Bush's second inaugural will no doubt prove historic because it carried a punch, asserting an agenda so sweeping that an observer quipped that by the end he would not have been surprised if the president had announced we were going to colonize Mars."

Sounds like sour grapes to me. A "bad feeling" for Ms. Noonan is a good feeling for me. I hope President Bush brings her to tears by following through on his promises. And by praise the Lord Jesus Christ while in office. Michael Newdow would cry also.

Drudge: Brits Mock President Bush
The Drudge Report reportsBrit Papers Mock Bush Speech. My questions is who cares what liberal Brits have to say? Just like I ignore the NY Times, LA Times and Washington Post- I can ignore the British media.

They are just sore losers- they could not sway our election, so now they pout. Too bad, so sad.

Christian Family Murdered Terrorist-Style in New Jersey
20.1.05
Newsday reports: Funeral of slain family brings Muslim-Christian tensions to boil. The odd thing is that many are trying to distance this from Islam and Islamic terrorism.

The article reports:
Ahmed Sheded, president of the Islamic Center of Jersey City, was among those attending. He wore a business suit instead of Muslim religious attire "because that might agitate people."

"We feel this is something that was very far away from our community," he said afterward. "A real Muslim can't do that. Any religious person who believes in God cannot do this, even to an animal."

I don't know about Mr. Sheded's acquaintance with Islamic history, but it is filled with this sort of thing from Mohammed up until today in the Battle of Iraq in the War on Terror. Put the blame where it belongs: serious Muslims.

St. Pete Times: U.S. troops fire on car, killing 2 civilians
19.1.05
The St. Pete Times/AP reports: U.S. troops fire on car, killing 2 civilians. The title leads a reader to believe it was unjustified and targeting civilians. However, the article gives some of the facts: the car refused to stop, they used hand signals first, then warning shots and finally shot to kill.

The article gives one more important fact: cars have been used by terrorists to attack and kill Iraqi soldiers and US soldiers. The blame should be on those in the car who took two young children to a possible death.

The terrorists and their supporters place no value on human life. See my previous post about Michael Savage's site for evidence.

A Mother's Post
18.1.05
It is almost 11pm as I am writing this. I am over-tired, but my husband asked me to write something in this weblog. I did not know what to write because I am a busy woman and barely have time to myself. I have two kids to take care of.

I did find something to share today. A few minutes ago I fed our four month old baby and I went to get a sweater for our 3-1/2 year old girl. Finally I sat down and I looked at them (both sleeping) and a great feeling came to my heart. Actually, I cannot explain what this means. But I will try.

My dream came true. My dream was to have a family that would love me and I would love too. I dreamed of holding my kids in my arms and to be called "mamãe." God has blessed me by giving me Pete and our daughters. I feel so happy when Virgínia says, "I love you momma." And Alcione Vastí finds peace and comfort in my arms- when she begins to cry when someone else is holding her and only I can calm her and put her at ease.

It is very hard to be a mother; the price is very high. But seeing my kids happy, smiles on their faces, brings me joy, happiness and more reason to praise Jesus- and to see how much He cares for me.

Report: U.S. Conducting Secret Missions Inside Iran
16.1.05
Myway/Reuters has an artile that says-
Report: U.S. Conducting Secret Missions Inside Iran
.

While I am not sure that this is true, it would be a good thing. Since Iran wants to infiltrate Iraq to kill US soldiers and disrupt the new Iraqi government, some infiltration of Iran would be some mighty good medicine.

Email Requests Addressed
14.1.05
Since it was requested, I added an easier email link on the right side under the Special Links area. Enough people were able to figure out how to email me that I thought it was unnecessary, but I was told it took too much work. I apologize. Since I decided to forgo comments, I thought email should be more accessible. I will not carry on long debates, however. With the volume of emails I receive, I cannot guarantee an answer either. I will try my best.

Please feel free to email me prayer requests. We do follow up on those with fervency.

The Dream Presidential Speech
13.1.05
From an email I received (somewhat revised):

WOULDN'T IT BE GREAT TO TURN ON THE TV AND HEAR ANY U.S. PRESIDENT GIVE THE FOLLOWING SPEECH?

My Fellow Americans:
As you all know, the defeat of Iraq regime has been completed.

Since congress does not want to spend any more money on this war, our mission in Iraq is complete.

This morning I gave the order for a complete removal of all American forces from Iraq. This action will be complete within 30 days. It is now to begin the reckoning.

Before me, I have two lists. One list contains the names of countries which have stood by our side during the Iraq conflict. This list is short.
The United Kingdom, Spain, Bulgaria, Australia, and Poland are some of the countries listed there.

The other list contains everyone not on the first list. Most of the
world's nations are on that list. My press secretary will be distributing copies of both lists later this evening.

Let me start by saying that effective immediately, foreign aid to those nations on List 2 ceases immediately and indefinitely. The money saved during the first year alone will pretty much pay for the costs of the Iraqi war.

The American people are no longer going to pour money into third world dung-heaps and watch those government leaders grow fat on corruption.

Need help with a famine? Wrestling with an epidemic? Call France.

In the future, together with Congress, I will work to redirect this money toward solving the vexing social problems we still have at home. On that note, a word to terrorist organizations. Mess with us and we will hunt you down and eliminate you and all your friends from the face of the earth.

Thirsting for a gutsy country to terrorize? Try France, or maybe
China.

To Israel and the Palestinian Authority. The time for us tying Israel's hands behind it's back is over. Have fun. Maybe all of you can go to Russia for safety, PLO. They have some great palaces there. Big tables, too. I am ordering the immediate severing of diplomatic relations with France, Germany, and Russia. Thanks for all your help, comrades. We are retiring from NATO as well. Bon chance, mes amis.

I have instructed the Mayor of New York City to begin towing the many UN diplomatic vehicles located in Manhattan with more than two unpaid parking tickets to sites where those vehicles will be stripped, shredded and crushed. I don't care about whatever treaty pertains to this. You creeps have tens of thousands of unpaid tickets. Pay those tickets tomorrow or watch your precious
Benzes, Beamers, and limos be turned over to some of the finest chop shops in the world. I love New York .

A special note to our neighbors. Canada is on List 2. Since we are likely to be seeing a lot more of each other, you folks might want to try not irritating us for a change.

Mexico is also on List 2. President Fox and his entire corrupt government really need an attitude adjustment. I will have a couple extra tank and infantry divisions sitting around. Guess where I am going to put em? Yep, border security. So start doing something with your oil.

Oh, by the way, the United States is abrogating the NAFTA
treaty - starting now.

We are tired of the one-way highway.

It is time for America to focus on its own welfare and its own citizens. Some will accuse us of isolationism. I answer them by saying, "darn tootin."

Nearly a century of trying to help folks live a decent life around the world has only earned us the undying enmity of just about everyone on the planet. It is time to eliminate hunger in America. It is time to eliminate homelessness in America. It is time to eliminate World Cup Soccer from America. To the nations on List 1, a final thought. Thanks guys. We owe you and we won't forget.

To the nations on List 2, a final thought. Drop dead.

God bless America.
Thank you and good night.

Savage Hosts Savage Deaths- A Wake Up Call
12.1.05
Michael Savage hosts the beheadings and murders by muslims on his site. I watched a savage (no pun intended) murder by men I would consider less than animals.

There is no reason for such brutality. It is inhuman. If following the Koran so closely brings forth this kind of behavior, I say BURN ALL KORANS.

There is very little outcry from the Islamic community in the USA or in the Middle East about these murders. In fact, the Islamic community has been found to finance these barbarians.

It is time to hunt these disgusting vermin down and take them out. The battle for Iraq is but one battle against terrorism in "The War on Terror." Al Qaeda is only one of our enemies. Hamaas and Islamic Jihad need to go down also. And the dirtbags in the videos on Michael Savage's website need to die too. May the Sovereign Lord give us the victory over these animals.

Preacher Dies During Sermon About Heaven
11.1.05
A Central Florida preacher died during his sermon January 9, 2005. During his message he quoted John Wesley:"'Until my work on this earth is done, I am immortal. But when my work for Christ is done ... I go to be with Jesus.'" Just before he died he reportedly said, "And when I go to heaven..."

It is sad on one hand, but as I learned with my Sister Diane, a journey to heaven is a wonderful event. I pray that the Lord comforts this preacher's family and friends in their loss, but we know that for those who live for Christ Paul's words apply as well: "For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain." (Philippians 1.21 NASB)

WND: Harassment of Christians Planned in Philadelphia
According to a WND article the homosexuals planned to harass Christians at the Outfest in Philadelphia. Knowing the support they had with the Philly Crocks- uh, I mean cops, I am sure they felt they would come out of this thing clean.

Watching the video of the event, it can be seen that the Christians were trying to preach the Gospel in accordance of the free speech amendment in the Constitution and the Philly cops unjustly arrested them. The judge in the case was obviously a corrupt, poor excuse for a human-being, much less for a member of the judiciary.

It would seem that the homosexuals knew they could count on the Philly officials to side with them and persecute the Christians. To quote Isaiah, in Isaiah 5.20:
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness;
Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!

The courts in Philly have called what is against God's law legal and His Word, and the preaching thereof, illegal. Not a good place to be. One day the judge and the cops will answer to God for their decision because "it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment..." (Hebrew 9.27)

myall4One Announces New Contributor
8.1.05
Loiana, my dear wife, will be contributing to this weblog a times. She will post in English and Português for our Brasilian friends. She is from Brasil, and was a missionary there before I swept her off her feet and she was blessed to marry me. Or she swept me off my feet and I was blessed (over and above) to marry her. Definitely one of the two, probably the latter.

Loiana will chime in periodically, as she feels led and inspired. I will be changing the profile shortly to reflect the both of us.

WorldNetDaily: 17-year-old girl part of 'Philadelphia 5'
7.1.05
While most of the media reports about the "Philadelphia 4" WorldNetDaily gives a more complete story in their article: 17-year-old girl part of 'Philadelphia 5'. I believe the liberal media wants to cast a dark shadow upon the Christians who were arrested. The arrest and charge of a seventeen year old girl would undermine that in the public's perception. Putting a young, female face to the story makes the public more sympathetic to the Christians' cause, not the militant homosexuals' cause (and by default- the liberal media cause).

The story points out that none of the militant homosexuals were arrested despite their aggressive behavior during the event. The original WND story from October 15, 2003 states:
Although some of the charges reportedly have been dropped since the 11 defendants were released, the Culture and Family Institute report quotes Philadelphia Police spokeswoman Officer Maria Ibrahim as saying the remaining charges are "criminal conspiracy," "failure to disperse," "disorderly conduct" and "obstructing a highway."

Responding to the riot charge, the group's statement said: "Despite the fact that our behavior was above reproach and we were attacked by a mob of whistle-blowing, obscenity-screaming God haters, the Christians, and only the Christians, were charged."

There was also a charge of "ethnic intimidation." This means that the Philadelphia police and prosecutor have given homosexuality "ethnic" status, while taking away the Free Speech of Christians.

A video of the event can be seen here from the American Family Association's website. In fact, you can see the "Pink Angels" obstructing the public walkway and even hear a police officer tell the Christian protester that it is a public walkway and he can go "wherever" he wants to go. Somehow the Philly police missed the obstruction on the video and found some other obstruction. Also, the police can be seen coddling the homosexuals, while harassing the Christian protesters.

A question- would the Philadelphia police be as forceful if it were a Christian event that homosexuals were protesting? Definitely not. The police were trying to force the Christian protesters to walk down a different street and to take down their signs. When filth-peddlers claim the First Amendment for freedom of speech, they twist and pervert what that freedom is all about- but in this case, it is exactly what the First Amendment addresses: political and religious speech. The Philadelphia police ignored the Constitution! Amendment I states: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

The Philadelphia police and prosecutor's office are a joke. They should hang their heads in shame and be disbanded. That was a total miscarriage of justice. As Brian Fahling from the American Family Association's Center for Law and Policy said, ""First, symbols of Christianity are removed from the public square; now, Christians are facing 47 years in prison because they preached the gospel in the public square. Stalin would be proud."

This brings a whole new meaning to "the city of brotherly love."

FBI documents reveal harsh treatment at Guantanamo
6.1.05
This story from AFP tells us about how poorly the prisoners at Guantanamo have been treated. You know, I really have little compassion for the terrorist animals housed there. They are the conscience-less trash that beheaded people, blew people up and murdered innocent Iraqis in Iraq.

They do not deserve deluxe accommodations. They deserve the death penalty. The do not deserve Constitutional protection- they are not US citizens, but our enemies by their own choice.

The ACLU and the democRAT traitors should be exiled for their treasonous behavior. They are not real Americans, they are as dirty as the terrorists they seek to defend. In their zeal to soil GW Bush's honor they dishonor the brave military defending us in the Battle of Iraq and the Battle of Afghanistan in the War on Terror.

Richard Gere Speaks For the Entire World?
5.1.05
He has a heck of a lot of authority, doesn't he? I wonder where he achieved that authority. I for one did not vote for him. And, for that matter, he does not speak for me. I think the Palestinians should be turned out of Israel, not have a chance to elect more blood-thirsty terrorists to represent them.

So when Mr. Gere says, "I'm speaking for the entire world. We're with you during this election time. It's really important: Get out and vote," he's mistaken about this one part of the world.

Patriot Act Used Against American Non-Terrorist
The FBI is using the Patriot Act to bring charges against an American citizen who flashed a Cessna three times with a laser. Fox News reports "Federal authorities Tuesday used the Patriot Act to charge a man with pointing a laser beam at an airplane overhead and temporarily blinding the pilot and co-pilot."

While I do not agree with the man doing such a dangerous thing, I also do not agree with the Federal Government using measures meant to combat terrorists against it;s citizens. Doesn't citizenship count for anything? Less and less I think.

I think we heed well the words of Thomas Jefferson, "Where the government fears the people there is liberty; where the people fear the government there is tyranny." We live in the latter time.

Why the "Palestinians" are the Problem
2.1.05
This WND.com article quotes Mahmoud Abbas, current Palestinian presidential frontrunner, as saying "We will not forget those wanted by Israel. These are the heroes that are fighting for freedom." This would be no big deal, but he speaks of blood-thirsty terrorists as he defends his visits with the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades.

The "Palestinians" have no desire for peace- history proves it. The pain of terrorism has been in Israel since well before September 11, 2001. In fact, as is documented here, our war against terrorism began before September 11 also. We just didn't show up for the fight until 9.11.01.

Possible Next Pope: Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger
Who replaces Pope John Paul II is of interest to me as an Evangelical in light of the Catholic prophecies of St. Malachy regarding "the last pope." This pope will be (according to the prophecies) the anti-pope. He is supposed to take the name Peter II. The next pope should usher in a 40 year period of the peace of Christ and be followed by Pope Peter II, the evil anti-Pope.

Of course, I am an Evangelical Christian, and I don't put much stock into the Catholic prophecies of St. Malachy.

Christmas Message (Matthew 2.1-18)
The Point: Wise men seek Him, evil men reject Him (a timeless truth)

Introduction: As Jesus was born there were wise men that came from far away to see Him and worship Him. However, evil people in His own land hated Him and wanted to destroy Him. Today it is the same. Some go way beyond to serve Him- suffering hardship, persecution and even death in some circumstances.

I. (2.1-8) The Visit With Herod
  • Wise Men (Magi)
    * Came from foreign land seeking Messiah
    * Were seeking when Jews should have been
    * The Jews had the information
  • Herod
    * Evil king with an evil plan
*Knew about Messiah-King, planned to prevent it
    *Eye on earthly, not eternal
  • Prophecy
*Told exact location of Messiah’s birth
    *6"But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, Are not the least among the rulers of Judah;
For out of you shall come a Ruler Who will shepherd My people Israel."' (Micah 5.2)

    (2.9-11) The Visit With Jesus
  • Wise Men
*Sought Messiah Jesus and worshipped Him (Properly)
  • Prophetic Gifts
*Gold- represents kingship: representing the Kingship of Christ (Revelation 19.16- On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.”)
*Frankincense- representing the Priesthood of Christ: Jesus our High Priest (Hebrews 3.1- “Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus…”)
*Myrrh- representing the death and sacrifice of Christ: (Romans 5.8- “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”)

    (2.12-15) The Visit By God
  • Wise Men
*God spoke to the wise men (who were seeking Him) about Herod’s evil plan
    *They obeyed Him
  • Joseph
*God spoke to Joseph- who displayed dedication to Him- about Herod’s evil plan
    *He obeyed Him
  • Prophecy
*"Out of Egypt I called My Son." (Hosea 11:1)

    (2.16-18) The Vengeance Of Herod
  • Herod
*Herod figured out that the wise men would not return
*He sought to destroy the child-Messiah-King by murdering of innocent children
    *Jesus was already gone
  • Prophecy
*the murder of the children was prophesied
*"A voice was heard in Ramah, Lamentation, weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, Refusing to be comforted, Because they are no more." (Jeremiah 31:15)

Application Points: In that day people sought to remove Christ while others sought to honor and worship Him. Today many seek to remove Christ- especially visible during Christmas. This is the time to seek after Him no matter the cost and reject the idea that we need to reject or remove Him from our lives.

Conclusion: When Jesus was born there were those that came from far away to honor and worship Him. Others hated Him and wanted to destroy Him. We need to stand and take sides: with Jesus or against Him. Honor Jesus this Christmas. Don’t settle for “Happy Holidays” or “Season’s Greetings.” Keep Christ honored in Christmas- wish people a Merry Christmas.

    Bits & Pieces
Since I was unable to post for a week or so, I figured that I would do a few short posts in one...
  • The Bucs were eliminated from the playoffs (realistically, they should have been out a month ago. Sad. I guess we are returning to the old year end motto as Buc fans: "Wait 'til next year."
  • My fantasy football team took third place in my league. Not bad for starting 2-5. I Ended up 10-6.
  • Our prayers go out to those effected by the Tsunami. It was a great tragedy.
  • We watched Diane and Rob's children- Charisma reminds me of Diane so much. She is a sweetheart. I think Gabriel is really taking it hard- he understands, but he doesn't. In some ways I relate.
  • I performed my cousin's wedding on 12.30.2004. It went well. I was so honored that they wanted me to be involved.
  • I preached at the ministry in Dade City, the text will be posted soon. It was a Christmas outreach.
