According to a WorldNetDaily article, the police officer who arrested a homeschooler's mother and harassed the homeschoolers during an outing was fired. I recently posted about this a few days ago.
The article states: Police Chief Charles Reece told WND today that charges have been dropped.
"I am in the process of dealing with it right now," he said.
A press release Reece issued also mentions that the plainclothes officer, identified in earlier press reports as Investigator Michael Snow, "has been terminated."
Adams, reflecting on the latest development, told WND: "This is great news!"

This Sunday I will be preaching at my church, and this is the message I have prepared. It highlights some who preach heresy and dwell in that which is false.
2 PETER 2.1-3
(v.1) FALSE DOCTRINES
But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.
• False Prophets- Benny Hinn (Castro, Syria/Israel, Homosexual Community, 2 Giants of the Faith) Kenneth Copeland- (Jesus not God); 03.03.03 World Prayer Team “Day of Prayer”
• False Teachers- Benny Hinn (9 persons in the Godhead); Kenneth Hagin (Plagiarized works of New Thought E.W. Kenyon); T.D. Jakes (God not a Trinity, modalistic UPC doctrine); Robert Schuller, Joel Osteen (reject sin, preach “nice”); Tony Campolo (Universalism, Jesus not needed for salvation); Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (Seeking to save Muslims and Jews wrong, insensitive- also declare right to “freedom from religion” as a Constitutional guarantee)

CONCLUSION:
False Teachers/Prophets are dangerous. Lead from the faith and toward destruction. We need to be prepared with God’s Word and ready to stand up against false teaching. We need to hold preachers to the Word of God (like the Bereans: Acts 17.11- “Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.”)

| WorldNetDaily: U.N. to control use of Internet? |

Big brother wants to takeover the internet according to this WorldNetDaily article. The UN wants to open up the doors for a "net for food" scandal or something to that effect? No thank you.
If they try, the USA should band with whoever to have a separate control. We need to stand firm and keep this media free! If the UN gets control, who knows what will be banned? Pornography would be fine, but conservatism and the Christian faith would be a problem.
I think it is time to ban the UN and kick them out of our country.
And to quote Lew Rockwell: Despite the sunny charm of countries like Cuba and Iran, the United Nations is populated with many despots who strive to censor anything that might enlighten their own people. They regard freedom of speech and individual rights - which are the life-blood of the Internet - with contempt. In some countries, sending the wrong e-mail can get you killed.
He also says: Ruled largely by free-market forces, the Internet has become one of the miracles of our times. Sure, cyberspace has its problems. But if you think pop-up ads and spam are annoying, wait until China and Syria start meddling with your e-mail. |

| Police Use Excessive Force on Home School Group |

A plain clothes policeman virtually attacked a juvenile without identifying himself according to a FOX Carolina News report. The officer had the boy's mother arrested for defending her son when she did not know he was a police officer.
The Police Chief said that "officers do not have to identify themselves immediately." How the parent is supposed to know that an out-of-control man is an officer of the law, I am not sure. However, the mother of the boy was arrested and charged with assault on an officer.
He's lucky there was not a parent with a gun around. He might be dead. Some wacko comes running out and threatening a child is asking for trouble- even if he's a police officer. |

Four of the "Philly 5" have had charges dropped by Judge Pamela Dembe on February 17, 2005. It is finally a victory for the Christian faith and for the Constitution of the United States. The fifth, a 17-year-old girl, faced a judge on February 18th. The judge also made a contriversial statement in reaching her decision: We are one of the very few countries that protects unpopular speech," Dembe said after viewing a videotape of the arrests. "And that means that Nazis can March in Skokie, Ill. ... That means that the Ku Klux Klan can march where they wish to. We cannot stifle speech because we don't want to hear it, or we don't want to hear it now.
I am not in full agreement with the American Family Association's interpreting that as blatant attack on the Christian faith, or even the presenters of the Gospel. I believe she was trying to make a point to the Philadelphia cretans who brought the charges. But the best part of this story is that the Christians finally WON! |

| NHL Season on Verge of Rescue |

Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux are working to salvage the NHL season and the reputation of the league (if not the league itself). According to an article by Dan Wetzel in Yahoo! Sports, Gretzky and Lemieux have effectively "weakened, if not usurped" Goodenow and Bettman. And I love this quote: In classic anti-Bettman, anti-Goodenow fashion, Gretzky and Lemieux have thus far downplayed their roles, saying all they did was talk. Those two have already combined for 2,981 assists, what's one more that saves the league?
Now to fire these two bozos and make the NHL exciting again.
Think about it, if Bettman and Goodenow really wanted what was best for the league and it's fans, they would have demanded 16-hour-a-day daily meetings to work this out before the season even was scheduled to begin. They did not care about the league and the fans, so why should anyone now care about them? |

This series of photos tries to lay the claim that Global Warming is effecting the earth: BBC NEWS | In pictures: How the world is changing. However, there is nothing proved by changes in scenery over time. It has happened since God created the world about 6,000-10,000 years ago.
The photos really don't prove anything if any thought is put into the conclusion. There are places where photos can be prepared showing the opposite story. Let's get real. |

| So, according to FoxNews, the NHL Canceled it's Season. This is just great. They have no respect for the fans. Bettman had no intention of trying to save the season. If they were serious, they would have had daily meetings until something was worked out. I think the NHL should fold, and teams should john the ECHL (which should change it's name) and give it a real go. The ECHL would have a draft of NHL players and teams in an area where there is no ECHL team (i.e.- Tampa Bay) would keep the NHL team there. NHL teams entering the ECHL should be able to protect half of their rosters and the salary cap should be enabled with maximums and minimums and profit sharing to make the league more financially stable. Fire NHL commissioner Gary Bettman and NHLPA executive director Bob Goodenow. Save Hockey! |

According to the Drudge Report, The Federal Election Commission next month will begin looking at tightening restrictions on political activities on the Internet, ROLL CALL reports Monday. So as I see it, the government will probably plan on limiting free speech more than it did (illegally and unconstitutionally) with "Campaign Finance Reform."
Sounds like more control, less freedom, less Constitutional rule from the US federal government. So when are we going to rescue our nation? Probably not any time soon, as almost half the population is fine with government control and too soft to fight for a free USA. There are not enough statesmen or patriots left in the USA to keep us free. At least that is what I think. I hope, and pray, that I am wrong. |

| My Guitar Experiences (Thank You Diane) |
|
Shortly after my sister Diane went to be with Jesus, I was speaking with her husband Rob about his ability to play the drums (he is extremely skilled, and plays for a professional production team). He then reminded me that I play guitar. When I pointed out that I am not very good, he said, "That is because you don't apply yourself. I didn't learn the drums overnight." It echoed something my sister (I miss her so much, even almost three months after I lost her) once told me. She was an accomplished musician in high school and also pointed out that it took practice and dedication. Something I have never put into my guitar playing.
Well, a couple months after talking to Rob, I have been taking guitar lessons. I am struggling really hard with reading music, but I am really putting a lot of effort to learn scales and practice rhythms. My timing has improved (always a big problem for me), and I am actually getting close to having the ability to crank out a solo.
I appreciate Diane's encouragement several years ago and Rob's encouragement a couple of months ago. When I learn to play the guitar well enough to earn it, I will buy a Jackson JS30 Rhoads Guitar, named after the phenomenal Randy Rhoads (who died in a plane crash in Leesburg, FL on March 19, 1982). He was my favorite guitarist ever, although I know he did not play for Jesus. I am told though, by a man who drove a bus for Ozzy at that time (not that trip, though), that Randy Rhoads may have been a Christian. I know it's a remote possibility, but I can hope to see him in heaven. I will seek out Diane first though!
As I attended my lesson today I began to click on a blues progression, and my thoughts turned to Diane and Rob and their encouragement. Diane was such an encouragement and still helps me to grow even though she is glorifying God in heaven now.
When I buy that Jackson, I will call it "Princess" in Diane's honor. She loved being called Princess. And it will be painted on the guitar in lavender, her favorite color.
Now I have something to strive for. Something to reach for. All that plus the primary goal of pleasing Jesus, my Hero and Sovereign King. |

Revisiting the story on the girls sued for delivering cookies, ABC News reports the whiney old lady has been receiving hate mail and death threats. Unfortunately, though she makes these complaints, the article reads as follows: Despite the bitterness surrounding the incident, Renea Young said she would do the same thing again.
"There has to be some accountability, some responsibility taken," she said.
So, she (the whiner) complains that she and her family are "misunderstood," and are the victims (again) of ill-will, but she would do it again to provide "accountability." She and her husband are the reason this nation is falling apart. In fact, throw the judge into that group too.
This country is turning into a whiner nation. Instead of taking responsibility and acting like adults, people whine. They get offended. That's why we have the PC crowd. To help people to not be offended. So we create words that lie about what we are feeling. And we demand tolerance- except for those who don't bow to the left-wing agenda. It's a mixed up world. |

| Pastor Grilled By FBI Regarding Sermon on Abortion |

According to a Crosswalk.com news article, Pastor Randy Steele was turned in for calling the battle against abortion- a Biblical pro-life message- a war. The complainant contacted the FBI to claim the pastor was calling for armed violence.
We are in a war- a spiritual war. Liberals find that subversive in itself, but our battle is not against flesh and blood. The simplest strategy is to get people saved. Those who are truly saved will not elect an abortion, and will have rarer occasions to need to seek one. Marriage and fidelity decrease the call for abortions almost 100%.
Would I have cooperated with the FBI? I don't know. It probably depends on their approach. If they went "Elian" on me, I would probably resist or refuse. If they stormed the church like they did the Indiana Baptist Temple, I would definitely refuse. But if they just inquired, I would cooperate without much issue I guess. More flies with honey than vinegar I think. |

According to an AsiaNews.it article, Hamid Pourmand was facing espionage charges in order to give a reason to execute him for his Christian faith. The bad news is that he will still face charges for proselytising and apostacy.
Hamid Pourmand is a Colonel in the Iranian army where it is not a welcomed thing to be a Christian. Another piece to the puzzle is that Colonel Pourmand is an officer in an army that is forbidden by law to have officers who are non-muslims.
The Muslims are jealous. The story states: During the hearing, court officials declared that for many years Pourmand had belonged to an ‘underground’ church through which “many Muslims” had deserted Islam and become Christians.

A report from theTimes Online - Britain tells of the dangers in England for former Muslims when they abandon their false religion for Christianity or any other choice. It points out that several people who converted to Islam are able to go public without fear, but when a Muslim converts to Christianity, for instance, there is a horrible price to pay.
Read Jesus Freaks (both Volumes) and you will see that Islam is a large part of any persecution going on in the 20 or 21st Centuries. Islam and Communism. Christianity partook in some persecution, but that was against how the Bible teaches Christians to act, not something condoned by virtually all the "spiritual leaders" as is Islam. And yes, I said- "virtually all." Even the so-called "moderate" or "mainstream" Muslim leaders are slow to decry terrorism if they do at all. |

His Statement of faith does not seem to support the Triune nature of God: read it for yourself: We believe the one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent, self-revealed "I AM" and has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association, i.e., Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
Something is missing. What does "revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association, i.e., Father, Son, and Holy Ghost" really mean? My guess is that the false prophet who once told us there was "nine of 'em" in reference to the Trinity wants to fit in with United Pentecostal theology of modalism (updated to "Jesus only")- a God who does not fit a Triune description.
I intend to address this in the future. Some might be surprised at the popular "preachers" who espouse this today. And the defenders often say that "doctrine" is unimportant. Paul disagreed:
"Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers." (I Timothy 4.16 NIV)
"For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear." (II Timothy 4.3 NIV)

| Heretic Highlight: Benny Hinn |

I choose to highlight Benny Hinn's heresies due to his god-like status to many Pentecostals and Charismatics. He makes off-the-wall statements that are accepted by the TBN crowd. Many will not accept any questioning of Hinn's teachings or "prophecies" without making some kind "do not touch the Lord's anointed" threat.
The Bible is clear for us: "If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, he is conceited and understands nothing." (1 Timothy 6:3-4 NIV)
With that in mind, let's take a look at some of Hinn's errors:
FALSE TEACHINGS:
"Never, ever, ever go to the Lord and say, 'If it be thy will';
No Christian should ever be sick;
We Christians possess 'power in our mouths' to heal or kill just as witches possess it;
Job tapped into the negative side of the faith force by a negative confession; Christ 'became one with the nature of Satan' and was 'born again' in hell;
Christ would have sinned without the Holy Spirit and would have remained in the grave 'if the Holy Ghost had changed His mind about raising Him from the dead' [Jesus said, 'I have power to lay down my life and I have power to take it again' (Jn 10:18) for He is God]
We are 'little gods' and even part of God with all the power of God
We are 'little messiahs,' everything that Jesus ever was."

On 12/30/02 explaining on “ the 18th of December at 2 am I awakened to a prophecy ringing in my heart. I was hearing myself prophesy. ... Jeremiah the prophet said that when the Spirit of God came upon him, when the word of the Lord came upon him, it was as fire came into his being. And he could not hold the prophesy. When the Word of the Lord is given to you, you'll prophesy even if you're alone in that place. And so I felt as though my mouth was about to burst with this prophesy. But what I heard was frightening. That was on Wednesday. Thursday morning at 2 am in fact. And now I'm hearing the words “Rivers of blood, rivers of blood.” And the Lord revealed to me what's coming in the next few days and weeks with this war with Iraq. (This was also unfulfilled- a false prophecy)
The Bible is clear:
Ezekiel 13:8 "Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: 'Because you have spoken nonsense and envisioned lies, therefore I am indeed against you,' says the Lord GOD.”" (NKJV)
"How long, O you sons of men, will you turn my glory to shame? How long will you love worthlessness and seek falsehood? Selah" (Psalm 4.2 NKJV)
"The righteous hate what is false, but the wicked bring shame and disgrace." (Proverbs 13.5 NIV)
"Then I said, "Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, the prophets say to them, "You shall not see the sword, nor shall you have famine, but I will give you assured peace in this place."'And the LORD said to me, "The prophets prophesy lies in My name. I have not sent them, commanded them, nor spoken to them; they prophesy to you a false vision, divination, a worthless thing, and the deceit of their heart. Therefore thus says the LORD concerning the prophets who prophesy in My name, whom I did not send, and who say, "Sword and famine shall not be in this land'--"By sword and famine those prophets shall be consumed!" (Jeremiah 14:13-15 NKJV)
"How shall I console you? To what shall I liken you, O daughter of Jerusalem? What shall I compare with you, that I may comfort you, O virgin daughter of Zion? Your prophets have seen for you false and deceptive visions; They have not uncovered your iniquity,to bring back your captives, but have envisioned for you false prophecies and delusions." Their visions are false and their divinations a lie. They say, "The LORD declares," when the LORD has not sent them; yet they expect their words to be fulfilled. (Ezekiel 13.6 NIV)
Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. (Matthew 7.15 NIV)
For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the electif that were possible. (Matthew 24.24 NIV) This refutes the use of "miracles" as proof of Hinn's integrity- the Bible tells us that there will be very convincing false miracles and signs that could deceive the elect if it possible.
But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought thembringing swift destruction on themselves. (I Peter 2.1 NIV)
Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. (I John 4.1 NIV)
To Sum it up:
What we see in Benny Hinn in a false teacher and a false prophet. Unfortunately, many in the Charismatic and Pentecostal communities accept him for anything he says. They do not hold his "prophecies" and "teachings" up to the Word of God, and thus fall into serious error. This is not an exhaustive list. I could have spoken about the Triune God being a trinity of trinities (or as Hinn clarified, "there's nine of 'em"). And there's so much more. In his quest to be exciting, Hinn leaves the Word of God behind.
Hinn is a heretic. He is a false prophet who should not be feared. ("You may say to yourselves, 'How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the LORD ?' If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously.
