Benny Hinn's heresies are extremely dangerous due to his god-like status to many Pentecostals and Charismatics. He makes off-the-wall statements that are accepted by the TBN crowd. Many will not accept any questioning of Hinn's teachings or "prophecies" without making some kind "do not touch the Lord's anointed" threat.
I have lost "friends" over opposing Mr. Hinn's teachings of anti-Christ. As I watch him on television (I can't watch for very long), I wonder how anyone takes him seriously. Why do people need fantasy and entertainment? God isn't exciting enough for them? Well, maybe if they get saved and evangelize, they will find adventure (like Rand does on Friday nights) or like Paul did- through beatings and persecutions!
The Bible is clear for us: "If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, he is conceited and understands nothing." (1 Timothy 6:3-4 NIV)
With that in mind, let's take a look at some of Hinn's errors:
FALSE TEACHINGS:
"Never, ever, ever go to the Lord and say, 'If it be thy will';
No Christian should ever be sick;
We Christians possess 'power in our mouths' to heal or kill just as witches possess it;
Job tapped into the negative side of the faith force by a negative confession; Christ 'became one with the nature of Satan' and was 'born again' in hell;
Christ would have sinned without the Holy Spirit and would have remained in the grave 'if the Holy Ghost had changed His mind about raising Him from the dead' [Jesus said, 'I have power to lay down my life and I have power to take it again' (Jn 10:18) for He is God]
We are 'little gods' and even part of God with all the power of God
We are 'little messiahs,' everything that Jesus ever was."

On 12/30/02 explaining on “ the 18th of December at 2 am I awakened to a prophecy ringing in my heart. I was hearing myself prophesy. ... Jeremiah the prophet said that when the Spirit of God came upon him, when the word of the Lord came upon him, it was as fire came into his being. And he could not hold the prophesy. When the Word of the Lord is given to you, you'll prophesy even if you're alone in that place. And so I felt as though my mouth was about to burst with this prophesy. But what I heard was frightening. That was on Wednesday. Thursday morning at 2 am in fact. And now I'm hearing the words “Rivers of blood, rivers of blood.” And the Lord revealed to me what's coming in the next few days and weeks with this war with Iraq. (This was also unfulfilled- a false prophecy)
The Bible is clear:
Ezekiel 13:8 "Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: 'Because you have spoken nonsense and envisioned lies, therefore I am indeed against you,' says the Lord GOD.”" (NKJV)
"How long, O you sons of men, will you turn my glory to shame? How long will you love worthlessness and seek falsehood? Selah" (Psalm 4.2 NKJV)
"The righteous hate what is false, but the wicked bring shame and disgrace." (Proverbs 13.5 NIV)
"Then I said, "Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, the prophets say to them, "You shall not see the sword, nor shall you have famine, but I will give you assured peace in this place."'And the LORD said to me, "The prophets prophesy lies in My name. I have not sent them, commanded them, nor spoken to them; they prophesy to you a false vision, divination, a worthless thing, and the deceit of their heart. Therefore thus says the LORD concerning the prophets who prophesy in My name, whom I did not send, and who say, "Sword and famine shall not be in this land'--"By sword and famine those prophets shall be consumed!" "How shall I console you? To what shall I liken you, O daughter of Jerusalem? What shall I compare with you, that I may comfort you, O virgin daughter of Zion? Your prophets have seen for you false and deceptive visions; They have not uncovered your iniquity,to bring back your captives, but have envisioned for you false prophecies and delusions." Their visions are false and their divinations a lie. They say, "The LORD declares," when the LORD has not sent them; yet they expect their words to be fulfilled. (Ezekiel 13.6 NIV)
Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. (Matthew 7.15 NIV)
For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the electif that were possible. (Matthew 24.24 NIV) This refutes the use of "miracles" as proof of Hinn's integrity- the Bible tells us that there will be very convincing false miracles and signs that could deceive the elect if it possible.
But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought thembringing swift destruction on themselves. (I Peter 2.1 NIV)
Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. (I John 4.1 NIV)
To Sum it up:
What we see in Benny Hinn in a false teacher and a false prophet. Unfortunately, many in the Charismatic and Pentecostal communities accept him for anything he says. They do not hold his "prophecies" and "teachings" up to the Word of God, and thus fall into serious error. This is not an exhaustive list. I could have spoken about the Triune God being a trinity of trinities (or as Hinn clarified, "there's nine of 'em"). And there's so much more. In his quest to be exciting, Hinn leaves the Word of God behind.
Hinn is a heretic. He is a false prophet who should not be feared. ("You may say to yourselves, 'How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the LORD ?' If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously. Why does this result surprise anyone? I would have bet on this happening. The slime that danced in the streets on September 11, 2001 are murderous, deceived, totally depraved occupiers of Israeli land. They are bent on the destruction of Israel as evidenced by the Hamas victory.
And for all the Sharon apologists, he put Hamas in this position. The blood of innocent Jews is on his head. I know this will seem to be overly venomous, but I hope he awakes from his coma and is alert enough to see the door he opened to terrorists. Sharon reminds me of Neville Chamberlain who sold out Czechoslovakia by committing to Hitler that Britain would be unwilling to go to war over the issue of the Sudetenland by signing the Munich Agreement. Hitler broke the treaty and millions died. How many will die in Israel because of the cowardice and political grandstanding of the beloved Sharon?
The "palestinian" leopard did not change it's spots. allah's children will continue to attempt to imitate their father as he seeks "only to steal and kill and destroy." (John 10.10 NASB)
The wisdom of the world seems to be "avoid war at all costs," and "appease don't antagonize." In my book, some things are worth fighting for, or not backing down from. Hamas and the arab occupied Israeli land should be cleared by sending the Israel-hating arabs to Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Saudi Arabia. Unfortunately, none of the previously mentioned nations want the so-called "palestinians."
So many- including in the church (or the perceived church)- believe the lies. I heard Paul Crouch today (I flipped through and saw him on TBN's "Behind the Scenes") was kissing up to the islamists. He glorified islam and praised several islamists that he personally knows (according to his report- not reliable in my opinion). PAUL CROUCH, I OPENLY CALL YOU TO REPENT. The same for BILLY GRAHAM, BENNY HINN, PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH, CONDOLEEZZA RICE, SHARON (if he survives and it is not too late), etc. REPENT YOU REJECTERS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, DEFILERS OF GOD'S WORD, MOCKERS OF HIM WHO WILL NOT BE MOCKED! From the Prophet Isaiah's Divinely-Inspired words I challenge you all, and any who may read this post by God's appointment:

| The Prayer of Jabez |

A popular book, The Prayer of Jabez does nothing but promote greed, selfishness and materialism by using a single Scripture. I would like to look at Jabez in contrast to another Scripture in the book of James.
Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother named him Jabez saying, "Because I bore him with pain."
Now Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, "Oh that You would bless me indeed and enlarge my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and that You would keep me from harm that it may not pain me!" And God granted him what he requested. (1 Chronicles 4.9-10 NASB)
You lust and do not have; so you commit murder. You are envious and cannot obtain; so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask.
You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures.
You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. (James 4.2-4 NASB)
Jabez was given what he asked for by a Sovereign God Who can do whatever He wills. Why did God give Jabez his desire? Well, first, He wanted to. Secondly, Jabez was of nobel character, and Jabez wanted God's presence in his life. So, does this give us a principle everyone can follow? No. God is not locked into a "fairness doctrine." He does not have to give me what He gives you.
Just as it is written, "JACOB I LOVED, BUT ESAU I HATED."
What shall we say then? There is no injustice with God, is there? May it never be!
For He says to Moses, "I WILL HAVE MERCY ON WHOM I HAVE MERCY, AND I WILL HAVE COMPASSION ON WHOM I HAVE COMPASSION."
So then it does not depend on the man who wills or the man who runs, but on God who has mercy.
For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, "FOR THIS VERY PURPOSE I RAISED YOU UP, TO DEMONSTRATE MY POWER IN YOU, AND THAT MY NAME MIGHT BE PROCLAIMED THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE EARTH."
So then He has mercy on whom He desires, and He hardens whom He desires.
You will say to me then, "Why does He still find fault? For who resists His will?"
On the contrary, who are you, O man, who answers back to God? The thing molded will not say to the molder, "Why did you make me like this," will it?
Or does not the potter have a right over the clay, to make from the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for common use? (Romans 9.13-21 NASB)
This Scripture shows us that God can and will do as He pleases. It is His right as God! This is a powerful Scripture for the predestination argument, but it also shows that God can bless one person and not another. He does not have to expand my boarders because He did so for Jabez. I also guarantee you that Jabez was not asking selfishly or out of pride.
Going back to James, we often hear "you have not because you ask not" before some greasy agent of the devil on TBN tells us to ask God for "the desires of our hearts." Unfortunately, they forget the next verse: "You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures." (James 4.3 NASB) So does the author of Jabez.
Being a Christian is not about "me." It is about JESUS. If it is not, you might as well begin ordaining homosexuals and atheists. Nothing matters anymore. The author and adherents of the pseudo-Gospel of Jabez should repent before Hebrews 10.31 (NASB) comes alive to them: "It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God."Labels: Bible |

| Convictions vs. Those Who Should Be Convicted |

I have been watching a DVD about Benny Hinn and the "TBN Family" and am just sick of them all. They are a bunch of thieving, lying, hucksters who should be sent to prison. They will one day pay for their outrageous statements and highjinks, I know they will be held accountable. My prayer is that they repent and use their resources (ill-gotten as they are) for God's Kingdom- and that Jan Crouch gets a new hairstylist!
Such shameless promotion of selfishness and greed, along with the heartless destruction of peoples' hopes for healing. I guess it is less expensive than a trip to Lourdes and a Romanist blessing. (And you don't have to donote your young boys to the service of the "priests.")
Why can't these immoral defalcators just do what the Bible says or sell used cars? The pulpit comes with a charge and a warning:
I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.
But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. (2 Timothy 4.1-5 NASB)
We all know that these men and women would not be as wealthy without bilking people- especially the poor and naive? However, they will be found wanting after they pass from this earth (lest they repent). He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. (Proverbs 28.13 KJV)
I look forward to moving into the Amazon. I will be going to where electricity is scarce. This prosperity pseudo-gospel has reached there as well, but is less ingrained. I look forward to going there with just the Gospel, no fringes and I will aim to be to the point and uncompromising in preaching Christ and Him crucified. For indeed Jews ask for signs and Greeks search for wisdom; but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness, but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. (1 Corinthians 1.22-24 NASB)
And when I came to you, brethren, I did not come with superiority of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God.
For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. (1 Corinthians 2.1-2 NASB)

The thing is, he should not apologize or retract his words. He should stand tall for once and say this is what I believe. He may be right. All these morons who try to rebuke anyone who dares insinuate that God would ever harm someone must never have read God's Word. See these Scriptures below:

God is not just some sugar-coated oaf in the sky. He is the Almighty and Sovereign Ruler. He is not to be toyed with or taken lightly. He reserves judgment on some until their immediate reward is Hell upon death; others He chooses to reward a partial judgment while on earth. (See Herod and Ananias above verses Pilate and Demas)
So Pat Robertson could be right. Sharon is no man of peace. He is a man of concession. He is an enemy to Israel and places it in danger from terrorist "palestinians."

Ladies and gentlemen, I said last year that Israel was entering into the most dangerous periods of its entire existence as a nation. That is intensifying this year with the loss of Sharon.
Sharon was personally a very likeable person, and I am sad to see him in this condition, but I think we need to look at the Bible and the Book of Joel. The prophet Joel makes it very clear that God has enmity against those who "divide my land." God considers this land to be his. You read the Bible and he says "This is my land," and for any prime minister of Israel who decides he is going to carve it up and give it away, God says "No, this is mine."
I had a wonderful meeting with Yitzhak Rabin in 1974. He was tragically assassinated, it was a terrible thing that happened, but nevertheless he was dead. And now Ariel Sharon, who again was a very likeable person, a delightful person to be with, I prayed with him personally, but here he's at the point of death. He was dividing God's land, and I would say woe unto any prime minister of Israel who takes a similar course to appease the EU, the United Nations, or the United States of America. God says, "This land belongs to me. You'd better leave it alone."
What is funny, is that no one mentions Patty's statements about Sharon being likeable and having prayed with the man. His statements about Sharon's stroke are not as clear cut as the media makes them out to be. They basically quote him as saying 'Ariel Sharon's massive stroke is God's punishment for giving up Israeli territory.' He never made a statement that cut and dry.
Also, CBS's newshag said somthing to the effect of: 'Religious leaders agreed that Mr. Robertson's comments we're unchristian.' Of course, these days, any mention of wrath or judgment is unchristian. I guess when 90% of the USA's 82% Christians end up in hell, they will find out there is judgment and wrath. Hmmm, and a hell too. |
