Damascus- Off the Map?
13.7.06
I am not going to delve deeply into this because it will take too much time right now, but I am thinking that my long-held belief that the Bible shows the disappearance of Damascus, Syria will be due to a strike by Israel when threatened by the surrounding arab nations. I believe Israel will use a nuclear strike to wipe Damascus off the map to warn her neighbors and to survive in a very hostile and anti-Semitic world.

Just a thought.

2 Caminhos: morte e vida/2 Ways: death and life
There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death. Proverbs 14.12 NASB

Almas. Almas que precisam Jesus e salvação. Si Deus quer, eu vou em 2007. Agora eu orarei. Eles precisam um otro caminho.

English:
Many things seem right but are bad. When we don't speak about Jesus for others they choose sin and death. My heart is preoccuied with the souls of the Brazilian people. My heart loves Brasil and the Brazilian people very much. I want many Brazilians to encounter, or meet, Jesus and serve Him with all their lives. Also, I want the whole world to receive Jesus, but I know many desire sin and death. It's an ungly situation.

In 2007 my friend from recife, Brasil wants me to go to Angola to preach and teach. Souls. Souls that need Jesus and salvation. If God wants me to, I will go in 2007. Now I will pray. They need another way.

JESUS é fiel! JESUS is faithful!

Hoje é Hoje
10.7.06

(Mateus 6.34 AA)

(For english: see the post "Aproveite o Dia" from June 23, 2006. It basically says the same thing, or use the translation function on the right side [Babelfish], Thanks)

World Cup: My Views
4.7.06
Team by Team:
  • Italy- Despite the fact they like to dive more than play, when they do play they can be very impressive. Their win against Germany was well played for the last two minutes. Great passing and scoring. If they keep their feet the Cup could well be theirs.
  • France- Showed their brilliance (hate to admit it) against Brasil. They have a lot of talent and deserve to be where they are.
  • Germany- Tough loss to Italy, played solid for most of the Cup. Deserved to be there as well.
  • Portugal- Probably the current underdogs. Like how they play, like Scolari, the Brazilian coach. They are the team I want to win the Cup now that Brazil is out.
  • Ghana- The "Cinderella" team. I did not like them. They played cheap and called it aggressive. It was dangerous. Glad they are out. So much for the "Brasil of Africa."
  • England- Rooney was a boorish thug. He was out on a red card and deserved it.
  • United States- Did not deserve to make this round. Played like chumps, long way to playing like champs. World cup in 3006? Possibility if they improve. Maybe a bit of a stretch- maybe 3050.
  • Mexico- Glad to see them beat Iran; glad to see them out.
  • Argentina- Should have gone farther, but not too sad that they are out.
  • BRASIL- Played beneath themselves the whole time. Parreira did not provide the focus and discipline he should have. I hope he resigns or is replaced so that 2010 fields a Brasil team that lives up to the quality futebol Brasil is known for. The team was very unfocused and selfish. Only showed flashes of "Jogo Bonito" (Beautiful Game). In a word- DISAPPOINTING.

That's my view. I hope Portugal meets Italy in the final and wins the Cup. My thought is that France is the strongest team left. Brasil was the best team in talent, but in application they failed. RUMO AO HEXA will have to wait until 2010.
