An open letter to any readers of this blog: in the past (2005), we met Timothy Pugh from North Carolina believing him to be a brother in Christ who cherished the Word of God. I invited him to visit for a few days. As he was preparing to make the journey he informed me that he was planning to stay in Florida. His "few days" became much longer, until we had to "evict" him. He ended up causing some division between us and our dear friends and ministry partners with lies, pretty words and flatteries. In 2005, he moved to Brazil under many false pretenses and married a friend of my wife. He had attempted to be a part of Faith Missions (a ministry we were affiliated with through a Mission. Brasil partnership) and was given several tasks to complete over the period of about six months. He did not complete anything he was charged to do. He was supposed to work toward ordination through Faith Missions, but he left before any of that happened. It should be noted that Timothy Pugh has a history of not completing anything. By his own report he never had a job for very long. Timothy has proven to be self-serving and dishonest with a lot of flowery words and a knowledge of Scripture, but no evidence of ever applying that Scripture. Apply this Scripture to him: For many, of whom I have often told you and now tell you even with tears, walk as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things. (Philippians 3.18-19 ESV) Also: "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves." ( Matthew 7.15 ESV) The point of this post: Timothy has a habit of throwing names of who he knows around as he recently did with our dear friends and ministry partners (formerly with Faith Missions) while trying to beg for money and "resources." If anyone is contacted by Timothy Pugh with a request for money -or anything else- do your research and check his references. They will probably be less supportive of him than he claims they are.
UPDATE: Just found him online and he claims to be a "pastor." He is unqualified and claims his education as "courses at DCCC, WWC and PBC in NC, USA." No degree, because he has never finished anything in his life. Labels: Hypocrites, Pseudo-Christianity, Warning |
Perhaps, my friend in Christ, his last name most betrays him, being Pugh, or "phew"!
