Today my family was off MacDill Air Force Base in a Yacht.  No, I am not rich and famous, it was a cruise.  We watched the annual air show from off-shore. I was reading the "Church Executive Magazine" article about a Canadian Ministry the was fined because a worker broke her employment contract and became engaged in a homosexual relationship with another woman.  She was terminated from the ministry.

My dear sister, whom I miss as much today as ever, would have been 33 today.   Today I cannot celebrate with her, but I am overjoyed for her. I did not have much prep-time.  I decided to have a Bible Study Quiz.  I had a decent 10 question quiz with Scripture references.   As the service started, we sang "Leaning on the Everlasting Arms."  It was cool.  Hymn number 211 in the National Baptist Hymnal I think.

Then I called on one of the men in the church to pray. Our Scripture tonight deals with our foundations as a nation (the United States), a church (in the United States and Antioch) and individually.  Our response to God's expectations for us will result in receiving His promise or falling into the wrath He warns us about.

Slavery was as evil in the United States and Confederate States as it was in Egypt.  However, too many of the rich white folk in the South would rather die than give up slavery.  That doomed the Confederacy from the beginning.

Terrorism is evil.  Those who use terrorism are evil.  In the short history of a new nation, a terrorist was responsible for the deaths of many.  Murder.  Soulless torture.  Allowing rape and robbery in the name of victory for the army and against the natives of the land.
